Brian Posted March 25, 2004 Report Share Posted March 25, 2004 The main differences between them and a licensed neck are the cut of wood for the Maple itself, you may or may not find a half saw or quarter sawn cut and they can not be made into an exact Fender Headstock simply by design of the paddle head (it's to short).
