A while ago, I bought a Squire Strat. For no apparent reason, whenever I hit second fret on B string, it makes this awful twanging sound. I've just changed string and it's still doing it. Any idea what's making this awful noise??? Or how I can fix it???

If I'm reading correctly it sounds like fret buzz. You may have a high fret or your truss rod may just need a tweak to straighten the neck back out. Go to the main page (www.projectguitar.com) and run through the tutorials on "set-up" and check out the straightness of your neck. Then go through and make sure your action and everything else is set right. if you still have the buzz you will have to locate the offending fret and either tap it down or dress it to the correct level.

i reccomend that you stay away from sound control, academy of sound etc

big stores = big waiting lists + big excuses

try out small self run places :D

just my 2 cents
