spirit
Damn! Thats a real nice neck! Looks like some future guitar porn. You've got a cool luthier too!! Or was the new neck gonna cost you?? asm
what would happen if you angled the graphite rods so they follow the width of the neck? i always see everyone putting them straight with the truss rods. any ideas?
BLS
Hes no longer in the band, they have no use for a bassist now because they have the 8 string's dude, are you serious? Yep, said so on their website
Slaughthammer
what would happen if you angled the graphite rods so they follow the width of the neck? i always see everyone putting them straight with the truss rods. any ideas? i think thats just because it's easier to route parallel to the sides befor sawing the neck out... and i dont think that angeling them would affect anything at all

Rock on A different neck wouldn't have cost him a penny, when I saw the dark grain during shaping I was choked, I don't mind wood variances like that, but some people really don't like it. I want my customers 100% happy so if he wasn't happy with something like that, which really is a cosmetic flaw, I would have redone it, if he hadn't picked such a flamed fretboard I would have just built a new one anyway, but I didn't want to have to remove that board if I didn't absolutely have to
BLS
What if he did want a new neck made? Would you sell the old one!?!?!
LGM Guitars
What if he did want a new neck made? Would you sell the old one!?!?! I would be reusing his original fretboard, but I could put another on it I suppose, I'd rather just build from scratch again if he hadn't liked it, but he did so I'm not worried about it

bowser
Wow, thats lookin real fine - you ought to have a great instrument once its complete. Didn't Meshuggah go to the 8's because there bassist left? I thought they started to use them once he left...though I don't really know Meshuggah

Maiden69
Sorry but icouldn't resist... FOOT, FOOT,FOOT, FOOT,FOOT, FOOT, Seriously now, All I have to say is that if the neck were Ibanez shaped I will have to call that the father of all Ibanez, Ilove the shape of the neck pocket, and the headstock is awsome too, I'm no fan of straight 6's unless the old Kramer banana or hockey stick... I don't know if Ididn't read it but how are you planning on finishing it, excellent guitar. Is that the hipshot 8 string bridge? If so how do you like it? ThePlague
about meshuggah: i think they had the 8 strings before their bassist left. and i'm 99% sure they're looking for a new bassist.
jammy
I heard they sacked there bassist once they got the 8's because it was making them sound muddy...
