jay5 Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I have the oppurtunity to purchase a tele style body that is cut to shate but has not been routed. I know that it is a better idea to do the routing before the body shape is cut out but is it that much more problematic to do it after the fact? I am concerned about the neck pocket. Thanks guys! MKGBass Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I've done it several times, and its not a huge problem. It does make it a little more difficult as there is no support for the router when you get out over the edge, but yes, it can be done. How much for...? the body that is? Quote

With a good-sized template clamped securely in place, it shouldn't be a problem, especially with a flat-topped guitar like a Tele. Quote

jay5 Posted April 6, 2004 Author Report Posted April 6, 2004 Thanks for the help, I figured it wouldnt be a huge deal. The body is African Magogany and would be about $40 plus shipping. Quote
