Elton Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 when i browse around the internet for guitar bodies they usally say, "made for a 22 fret neck" does it mattter what kinda neck (21 fret, 22 fret, 24 fret) u put on gutiar bodies? does it effect it in any way? krazyderek Posted April 6, 2004 Report Share Posted April 6, 2004 usualy when they say that they're refering to the standard Strat ® 22 fret neck.... yes it does in fact matter, 24 fret fingerboards won't fit on a strat without some modding, (the neck pickup get's in the way) this is why there are starter kits for building guitars helps take some of the confusion out of this till you start to get into all the little nick's and nack's of the trade Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
