jab501
Hi everyone, Im refinishing my epiphone G400 (the Gibson SG400 copy), and found ive got a bit of a problem with the inserts. ive taken all the hardware off the guitar, but im left with the screw inserts for the tailstock and bridge in the body. they stick out 1.5mm and its gonna be hell if i have to sand round them, and even worse to refinish bea=cause i plan to do a material finish!! any suggestions on how i can remove them, (are they screwed or glued in?), would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks Loads, JAMES
rhoads56
put the bolt back in to the thread. put a thin black of wood on the guitar to protect it. Use a claw hammer to remove the bolt and thread in one, like you would if you were taking a nail out of a bit of wood. Obviously the wood goes under the hammer head...
