sjaguar13
I want an 81 and 85 pickup in my guitar, but should I buy the Zakk Wylde set or just an 81 and 85 seperate? If I get them seperate, what do I need to install them, pots, stereo jack, and battery thing?
MikeB
buy them separate unless you have a les paul. zakk wylde EMG's have long shaft pots. if you buy them separately each pickup will come with 1 volume pot, 1 tone pot a battery clip, and the stereo jack socket with wiring instructions. FajiiNako
Actually, the zw set comes with 4 long shaft, and 4 short shaft pots. I don't know about the price difference, but i do know that if you buy the zw set, you'll get some extra caps and pots for later use
sjaguar13
From what I figured out, it's going to be about $40 cheaper to go with them seperate then to get the ZW set.
westhemann
http://guitarpartsdepot.com/Merchant2/merc...ory_Code=EMGGTR the price went up it looks like...but i don't see a $40 difference
sjaguar13
I'm talking about buying them used. That's why I originally asked what I needed to install them if I got them seperate....if they were new, they'd come with everything needed.
