Joey
I read the little "how to" for painting pickups on the tutorial section of projectguitar.com but I was wondering if anyone here has had experience painting pickups. What tools and paints are best used to make a clean paint job?? Thanks! Edit:::: This pickup I want to paint is a baby blue air noton, just so you know. lovekraft
You might try Krylon Fusion - it's designed for plastic. Sorry I can't tell you more about it - it worked great on my daughter-in law's plastic trashbins.
Brian
All sorts of paints for plastics are out there, the hardest part really is masking the top off and also getting the finish to look as smooth as you want it if there is any damage at all to the top of the bobbin. psw
Here's a thought. I've been using cheap nail polish to isolate PU wires etc. The stuff I found doesn't seem to effect plastics (on the bobbins) and the remover say's non-acetone. It drys fast, tough and comes in fashionable colors!!!! You would want to try it out first though in case the stuff you find eats your PU covers
