Hi, I'm new here and I was directed by the proyectguitar.com site. I was looking into scalloping the neck on my Epiphone Les Paul. It has a binded neck and I don't know what to do. Shall scallop the whole width of the neck like the regular type (and if I do this how difficult will be to repair the bindind) or do a recess from one side to the other, like a pool between the frets.

I have painted and customized guitars (mainly electronics and set-ups) but it will be the first time I deal with a binded neck.

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. Special thanks to Brian for the pics. That's a great job. I will do mine probably this weekend, hopefully it will turn half as good. As soon as I'm doneI'll post some pics. One last question for Brian, do you have to go easy on the binding?
