Bandsaw blade size

Hi again,

What size blades and how many teeth per inch do you guys use to cut out bodies.

I have just got a 14 inch saw with a 3/8 blade but I was thinking about getting a smaller (1/4) and finer blade.

Any suggestions

I don't cut the bodies final with the Band Saw. I'll use whatever is mounted in the saw at the time, and cut to within 1/8" of the body outline and finish it with the router and a Template following bit. If you're trying to cut the final shape with the bandsaw, I'd use a 1/4 to 3/8 bit with as many TPI as reasonably possible for the smoothest cut. Smoother Cut = Less Sanding
