Curtis P
Click Here That guitar there is what I am going to do next, but not as much carving, just a regular carve top, heres what I was thinking today, mahogany wings with ash centre, couple of quickie questions, can I download the SG template at guitarbuild.com and then modify it so it has those C cut outs in it??or will I have to change more stuff? I know this sounds dumb, but I really really want this one to come out good, I am going to buy a really really crappy guitar at a pawn shop and stick the neck on and electronics. ManWhoSoldTheWorld
So, your going to buy a cheap SG from a pawn shop and take those c-chaped cuts of of the side? or your going to make your own body with those cuts? It might just be me, but wouldn't taking that much wood off change the tone?
Curtis P
no, make my own body, get a pawn shop guitar (or yard sale) and then put the parts on the body I dunno about tone Curtis
westhemann
tone is subjective...just use good wood and good pickups and you will like the tone...
