DrChrisMD Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Hey, guys. I'm new to the forum, here, as of tonight... My question is if anyone'd have an idea where I can find blueprints/plans for a Fender Jagstang, like the one Kurt Cobain played in Nirvana. I'd like to see if I can find 'em for free before resorting to buying them. And I guess while I'm at it, what would be a nice, yet cost-effective wood to use while building this? This'll hopefully be the first guitar I build. Thanks a lot, Chris Quote
spirit Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 poplar would do as cheap but good wood. also, just get plans of a jaguar, and of a mustang, and chop 'em up and stick 'em together! Quote
DrChrisMD Posted May 23, 2004 Author Report Posted May 23, 2004 Alrighty...pulling a Cobain! Well, I've got a set of Jaguar plans...now for the Mustang! Are there any good sites for *free* plans? -Chris Quote
spirit Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 www.guitarbuild.com they *might* have plans in their CAD section, but i don't know Quote
DrChrisMD Posted May 23, 2004 Author Report Posted May 23, 2004 I got the CAD drawing here at this site. I'm having trouble trying to print it with my program...it uses upwards of 20 pages with my CAD viewer...if anyone knows an easy way, let me know...like a free viewing/printing program or something along those lines. Maybe I just don't know how to configure my printer, haha. I've never realized how hard it is to find free plans online...Ah, well. -Chris Quote
Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Kinkos. Or any print shop. Should cost about $5 Quote
ManWhoSoldTheWorld Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I've seen Jag-stang plans somewhere, but I can't remember where. Google? Quote
