sjaguar13
I just got a guitar from eBay, and it has strings that are close up near the first three frets, but they go higher as they go up the neck. How do I get better action?
truerussian558
if its a strat then you take the smallest allen brench you can find and turn those little screws on the saddles to the height you want (clockwise to lower strings, counter to raise). if its a floyd rose, then your introuble. you either have to take it off and route a recces for it to lower it. or you have to put angled shims in the neck pocket (of its a bolt on) to give the neck some angle in the future though specify the type of guitart and the hardware that is involved (in this cas the bridge)
Stalefish
Could it need a truss rod adjustment?? I'm no expert in this but from what I know, this could be another reason for an overly high action.. Could check for bow as per the setup tutorial..
