Dragyn
Hey All; I scored a pretty decent strat body and neck off the bay and plan on refinishing it. I have been a woodworker for over 15 years to refinishing wood items is not that big of an issue for me, but what I could use is some assistance in colour suggestions. The neck is your standard maple with rosewood fret board with a modified head. No biggie there, but I plan on using a snake skin pickguard like this only it will be set up for a S/S/H. My question to you folks is what colour should I refinish the body in?? I do not want to do the black or white and the body needs to be solid colour and I would like it to stand out, but not outrageously so. Looking forward to your suggestions. skibum5545
Seems to me like you'd want to buy some Dupont Chromalusion colorshifting paint, then glow flames in the clear over that, and gloss clear to top it off! I would like a maroon metallic burst with that pickguard, if the wood underneath can handle it.
themikestro
I vote turquoise. Or a nice deep purple/maroon. message ends.
