82DeanZ Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 Hi, I noticed that a piece of alder I'm working on is slightly cupped. I was wondering what the best approach is to correcting the problem. Is this something a thickness planer could correct? Thanks in advance! Best Regards, Mike. Quote
Scott Rosenberger Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 Yeah, run it through the planer, flipping it over to the other side after each pass. It may not be thick enough the get the cup completely out by the time you get to your desired thickness Quote
82DeanZ Posted June 4, 2004 Author Report Posted June 4, 2004 Thanks Scott. I wasn't sure if the planer was a good idea or not. Much appreciated. Best Regards, Mike. Quote
