Hotrock Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 My brother is after me building a new body for his bass. What I was wondering was is it possible to put a trem on it. I know he'll love that. From the quick think that I've just had, I'd need to uprate the springs to keep it in tune and make/buy some saddles that would be suitable and maybe modiy the block to take the saddles for the correct string spacing. So.......... .........possible? Worth it just so he's got a new toy? Oh, I feel it would be easier if you could just but a bass trem, anyone make them? Quote

skibum5545 Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Warmoth carries the hipshot trems. I say go for it. I'd love to see how it sounds. Quote
Dr. Jabsco Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 Yeah, thier pritty awsome but they are expensive as hell. I think around 200 bucks, but I would have to check. One of my old bass teachers had one, and he loved it, but he said he had to retune often. It also helps to have a composit neck (or carbon reinforcements) so it dosnt bow. Quote
