hey all i need help with sunbursting any tips

Recommended Posts

Well, there's lots of ways to do it, and you could fill a book on it.....

.....but for the basic 1-paragraph answer:

Start out with a basecoat color applied to the bare wood, let's say yellow or amber, OK?

Clearcoat over that with several coats, roundabout 6, give or take.

Let dry, then sand that flat.

Mix your next shade, let's say red, into your finish as a 'toner', or 'shader' coat.

This is misted on with an airbrush or gun set accordingly light.

Mix your last outer shade, let's say dark brown, the exact same way and shoot that on.

More clearcoats, let dry, then buff out.

You can change just about any line in that and still be 'bursting, there's a hundred different varieties of ways to do it.
