daveq
Does anyone have a schematic for a similar control to the EMG-VMC? I love them but don't want to pay $60 - $70 each. I have a good background in elecronics and might actually be able to come up with one an my own but I thought I would check with you guys before starting on that. Thanks, Dave
lovekraft
Try this: Dual Mid Control Leave out the switch and use a pot with a center detent, and you've got a boost/cut mid control. If you want to get fancy, add a JFET source follower to the input and one to the output to isolate the circuit from interaction with either the pickups or the cable. JFET Source follower HTH. I'm sure the EMG uses an active opamp filter, which could also be easily worked up using a gyrator as an inductor.
