Devon Headen
Strat-style hardails are really nice, and they are string through. They even come with the ferrules. Lots of people use TOMs too.

Scott Rosenberger
Hipshot if you intend on using a Flat Mount style and Tone Pro's if you want to use a Tune O Matic but with the T.O.M. you'll either need a neck angle or you'll have to recess the bridge into the body because of the extra height of the bridge
truerussian558
as a sidew note to you bassists, gotoh makes a nice hardtail bridge that is etiher through body or you can fasten the strings in the back of the bridge, give s you ways to experiment with tonal varieties

JSON
Is there a neck angle? Yes there will be a neck angel, I haven't started to build the guitar yet, I'm just planing for the moment
GregP
Those Hipshot hardtail bridges look great. Deffo will use one in a future project. HERE's the StewMac page with the Hipshot bridge.
Myka Guitars
I second (or is that third?) Scott and GregP's suggestions. The Hipshot bridges are nice. I just received one of their contoured tremolos and it is a fine piece of work. Absolute top quality. I also use the TonePros tune-o-matics all the time. Another great bridge.
