Biohazard Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 Hi guys, on my custom guitar (when it is completed and arrives) i'm wiring up the electronics myself as i've said before. I'm using a LP style 3-way pickup selector switch for the two humbucker pickups in the neck and bridge. How many legs does a 3-way pickup selector switch (LP style) have? Is it three legs plus a fourth leg for the ground connection or is there more than four legs? On www.guitarelectronics.com it shows 4 legs of the switch for a standard 2 humbucker 1 vol, 1 tone knob wiring schematic but I was wanting to know if I should expect more than 4 legs on the switch. If there is going to be more, how will this affect me following the wiring schematic on the guitar electronics website? Thanks for any input. Quote
lovekraft Posted June 23, 2004 Report Posted June 23, 2004 A standard LP-style toggle will have 3 switch lugs and a ground lug - just like the wiring diagram you've been looking at. Quote
