skibum5545
Easy: eliminate the tone pot, and just take the humbucker wires through the respective volume pots to the output jack. If you feel like it, you can do other cool things: coil taps, etc. Find a diagram (www.guitarelectronics.com has more than enough) and simply eliminate the tone pot. Pex657
taking out a tone is not that hard. Just pretend it wasn't there, meaning the wires would just connect to the place they are going with out connecting to the tone pot first. Jehle
You will have to wire the volume pots backwards though. Otherwise, you'll have 2 volume pots and turning down either one will reduce BOTH pickups. Normal Volume Pot: -0 pickup hot -0 output jack -0 ground/earth 2 Volume config -0 output jack -0 pickup1 hot -0 ground/earth -0 output jack -0 pickup2 hot -0 ground/earth --------------------------- I have no clue about the 5-position/3 pickup/2 volume config. You will have to be more specific about what you want it to do and control.
