horstausmforst Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Hi there, this Idea has crossed my mind over at jemsite, but I thought I ask one of you electronic gurus here. Is there something like a DPDT Push-Pull switch with 3 or more rows of contacts (instead of the normal 2 rows) in existence? cheers! Quote
KeithHowell Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 I'm not sure about a push/pull version but Ive got a toggle version with about eight rows. They are used in telecommunication test sets. Quote
daveq Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 I think I remember seeing a stomp box 3PDT somewhere. I don't remember ever seeing it available as a push/pull pot though. GuitarElectronics.com might be able to help. There are others options if you really want to get into it. I was recently talking with some guys here about using analog switches (4051 chip for example) and other solid-state devices. If you're not into learning electronics another possibility would be to use a small relay. It will chew up battery life but it's an option. If you can't find the 3PDT, check back here and I'm sure some of us can provide alternatives of some sort. Quote
Maher Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 is that what your looking for? you can get them form aron at http://www.diystompboxes.com/cart/ thats a stomp box switch though, dont know if thats what you want. Quote

lovekraft Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 Here's a 3PDT toggle, and here's a 4PDT - I don't know where you're going to find a push/pull switch pot, it would probably have to be a special order (meaning minimum quantity around 1000). The switch would have to be physically larger than the pot, so it might be problematic to make. Quote
