syxxstring Posted April 9, 2003 Report Share Posted April 9, 2003 Its a cool wood ive wanted to try for awhile. Finally the project came up. A Yamaha RGX420 Drop 6. Its there copy of an RG only 26.25". Anyways I havent stripped the old finish yet but was wondering if anyone here has any experience or suggestions. Ill try to take pics to post along the way. Jehle Posted April 14, 2003 Report Share Posted April 14, 2003 Ditto Brians comments about the veneer. It might be really thin and you wouldn't want to sand through. That would be a nightmare.
