albertop
Hello all, my friend gave me a Strat neck and it have 23 frets, which seems weird to me, and also I measured at the nut and is 1 11/16" (like a LP), do you think it´s fake? In the decal says "1975 custom body worldwide". I like the wood and I´m going to use it anyway but I wanted to ask, thanks. Alberto
SguitarM527
well as you know most fender guitars have a nut width of 1 5/8" or 1 7/8". and 21 frets. it could be fake, i dont know. i dont think ive ever seen a 23 fret strat but then again, ive never seen alot of things. albertop
Yeah, but maybe it could be a custom mod, does anybody know?
camsna
Really. There's no way of knowing. it's probably fake. EVERYBODY has built a strat neck copy. Decals have been reproduced (not to mantion swiped). It's a classic and easy to copy design. I'd say that if it's that abnormal, it's probably a copy. Doesn't mean it's not cool, though!
