Quote
Hotrock Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Well it's not the norm, I know that much. I'm not very good at electronics but buzzing problems seem to be an earthing problem more often than not. One of the experts will help you out here, but while you're waiting, have the control cavity cover off and check that all the ends of wires are attached to something. Good luck, hope someone can be of more help soon Quote
webster Posted July 26, 2004 Author Report Posted July 26, 2004 i think it may be a stuffed jack so ill replace that now with a new one and get back to you all, sorry for waisting space if it is. Quote
Hotrock Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Good luck. Like I said, I'm really not an expert in this fied (or any field for that matter) so don't do anything on my say so Quote
webster Posted July 26, 2004 Author Report Posted July 26, 2004 ok i know its nota problem with the jack or the switch Quote
Biohazard Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 From reading threads of eople's previous expierience with similar buzz problems, i'd say go check all your wiring to make sure everything is wired up correctly and especially make sure everything is grounded properly. And also that they then get taken to the jack ground lug. Quote
68 lost souls Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Also may I suggest inspecting the shielding. Quote
lovekraft Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 You've definitely got a ground loop somewhere. It sounds like one of your pickups is wired in reverse - make sure the shield is connected to ground on both pickups, and make sure all your ground leads meet at one single point. Quote
truerussian558 Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 read this also a good idea to do his quieting the beast wiring modification (here) as a side note i had the exact same thing happening, but i got a new (used) amp and it went away Quote
webster Posted July 28, 2004 Author Report Posted July 28, 2004 is it possible that it is because my lead goes past a 4x power adapter? Quote
lovekraft Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 That can't be helping - try rerouting that cable. Quote
jefm Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 is it possible that it is because my lead goes past a 4x power adapter? I don't think that's the whole problem but like lovekraft said I doubt it's helping your cause :-) Quote
