AlGeeEater Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 Yea i was gunna finish my friends custom guitar and he wanted a nice light blue dye color. so i got one of LMI's blue dyes. i apllied it and all that good stuff and i dont know what to put on top of it. ive head about Dupli colors metal cast top coat. is it any good? skibum5545 Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 The metalcast stuff is tinted clear. If you already dyed the guitar, you don't need it. Go with either Deft Nitro lacquer for a true nitro finish, or Duplicolor Car Truck and SUV clear coat (I'm not sure what it is exactly but it dries hard and clear.) Quote
