  1. It probably would work. But it looks like it might be rather large, and would it offer any advantage over using the standard varitone / rotary switch implementation?
  2. Neither link seems to be correct. Yes... though, since it feels "a little funny", you may still want to double check it. It may be difficult for anyone to help without the diagrams or a snapshot of your wiring. The fact that the neck pup is coming out alone in the correct position would indicate that you've oriented it correctly. With even a slightly complex wiring job, it really helps to be EXTRA neat... if anything, it makes troubleshooting easier. If you can get the correct links for the PDF files, I'm sure someone here (or me) could help you out. And don't break anything - you don't know hell until you've tried installing a Sustainiac in a non-standard guitar!
  3. One aspect that no one has mentioned is the influence of the bridge - between the classic three-barrell brass Tele saddles and the springs in the Strat vibrato there can be a significant difference in sound (at least on guitars that aren't dead to start with). This is much more noticeable when going for a relatively clean sound; the difference in a high-gain setup is probably pretty negligible.
  4. Hi, this is my first post. I was wondering if it is possible to do this, that is, have both a coil cut AND a phase reversal switch on the same humbucker pickup (four leads plus shield). Thanks. micpoc
