Good day folks,
I am in the process of stripping an old silvertone acoustic to bare wood. This was the guitar I learned on. It must have been a REAL cheepie because the pickgaurd was PAINTED on. I would like to give i a clear finish. What would be easiest.
Also the fretboard has some worn spots would there be any harm in painting it? My guess it was painted originally. It looks as if the frets are right into the neck. As cheap as it is It still sound great to my ears and I want to buy it a pretty new dress as it were.
