  1. For $300 it is tough to beat the Line 6 Spider III 75. In fact, I can't think of an amp I'd rather have that costs less than twice that.
  2. I have a Veritas flat spokeshave, and I love it. Round sole shaves are for carving concave areas. As to the elitist asswipes, I am sorry the world does not bow before your greatness. I'm sure you are world famous in your livingroom. Get over yourselves.
  3. Whatever. He changed his website, and now admits where the inspiration came from. The running lawyer joke had nothing to do with the C&D order guy. Your assumption is faulty. A PG member came to the MCS forum first to spout off. This "we" you refer to did not start the cross forum dispute. And thanks again for attributing someone else's comments to me. Makes you look real smart...
  4. Side question- How is it that Godin can edit his posts, and it does not indicate it has been edited?
  5. If you hear nothing else form this thread, hear this. If the notices your getting are not served as an official notice by an attorney (eg, you are sent an official letter in the mail which you have to SIGN FOR) it means nothing. Go about your business. You have nothing to fear legally over the issue. Now you see why it's important to keep your mouth shut when dealing with anything that can possibly turn legal. They had nothing on you until you admitted that you were inspired form their wave design. At this point the best thing you can do is forget this ever happened. Don't reply to any messages demanding you quit etc etc etc. If you are really worried that he will be serving you with a cease/desist or anything else, you should contact an attorney instead of talking to the guy directly, and be very careful when taking advice from someone on a forum!! I've read some things in this thread that can seriously get you in trouble if you did them! A couple more things are making me even more suspicious. This guy "drawknife" comes on here supporting the claims that you stole a design etc etc. Than goes and says things like "Anybody else see why we might be upset about it? blush.gif If it weren't for sale, we'd have made comments on how nice a job you'd done." Than he goes on to say he suggests you work it out amongst Neal.... More fishy than catfish on friday night in louisiana. Please don't attribute someone else's comments to me. The quotes you made were from Rooster. I tried to offer easy solutions, which it seems were implimented quite quickly.
  6. I just got the 14" Rikon de luxe for $750. 13" resaw capacity, 1 1/2 hp, standard 111" blade. 120v/240v convertible. All good, available at Woodcraft. The only thing wrong with it is the instructions tell you to mount the fence guide the wrong way.
  7. If the blade moves upward, your motor is wired wrong.
  8. Yes, the Origins Page clears everything up. Actually it comes off as a bit too apologetic, just state the core message, and trim the part about a fuss. Sharing ideas and inovations is what these forum communities are all about. Is this a primarily UK site? Most everybody has a UK location from what I have seen in my admittedly first day here.
  9. Rooster photo link didn't work, so I'll try LOL, simul-posting. See Biliousfrog, we have lots in common...
  10. Hoogle, can't you just delete the guestbook entries and be done with it? Not to sound flippant, but aren't you the one allowing this to continue. I am just a regular guy making guitars in my garage, so I don't speak with a lot of authority, but I think all you have to add is a "design inspired by a guitar I saw from Neal Moser/ MCS" and no one would have any problem with your selling them. At the end of the day, we as people have more in common than different. Congradulations on the project of the month thing. Calling each other stupid and "muppets" doesn't progress this situation one iota. So my final thought is, just credit the inspiration, and anybody that still has a problem is the one being childish. Bill Frog, What? No, I don't make threats. And you can't have it both ways, either the wave was inspired by something seen (as stated) or it is original. As I see it now, it is up to Hoogle where this goes now. I don't see why simply adding an "inspired by the MCS Vangerov" would cause any damage to AF Guitars. ANd it would take all the wind out of the sails of all complaints...
  11. Since you came to the Moser forum to have your say, I came here to clear up my position. Firstly, the lawyer comment was a continuation of a joke from about a week ago, which you are quoting totally out of context. Secondly, the AF guitar site claims it as an original design. Thirdly, it IS for sale. And for the record, Neal has not contacted or made any comment to the AF guestbook. The wave top is Michael Vangerov's design, and it would be up to him to do anything about it. And your guys' knowledge of the BCR/ Moser relationship is seriously lacking a factual basis. So go back about your daily lives, and go outside once in a while.
