  1. Hey there - Got a question here that my local guitar shop couldnt answer me so I thought this might be the place to post. I currently have a Gibson Les Paul standard with the standard gibson pickups which iam not incredibly keen on. I would like to install a fernandes sustainer (in the neck presumably) and in the bridge iam really set on getting the Seymor Duncan custom shop Scott Ian El Diablo in the bridge. However - I have no idea if I can use another pickup with the sustainer that isnt a fernandes. And I have no idea what fernandes kit I would need for my lespaul. I have fitted several sets of passive and actives pickups in the past , but iam unsure about the ease of fitting with these - is it easy? Thanks in advance guys!
  2. OK that sounds pretty much more work then building a body from scratch - ill advise against this totally now - thanks for all the help guys
  3. I must admit that does sound like an exceptional amount of work for questionable gain - I will continue to advise against it. I cant admit to have ever filled anything on a guitar before - would this involve using wood filler out of interest?
  4. Having owned and sold a jagstang - iam much inclined to agree - however ive agreed to help someone who desperatley wishes to do this - another concern iam having is that this bridge sits alot higher then a strat bridge - am I right in thinking the action will be ballistically high?
  5. Does anybody know if it is possible to fit a fender mustang tremelo to a fender strat body. I have a pretty good idea the cavity that this trem requires will need to be sat futher back then the standard fender start trem. Iam hoping that the mustang bridge plate will cover the existing cavity in body that was there for the original start trem. Would I also need a mustang scratch plate to fit this effectively. Many thanks in advance. Mike
