Is there a ghost system for Tune-o-matics?

Does it sound anything like a real acoustic? Also, recommended pickups for rock? Not classic rock but more of a nice grungy drop-tuned modern rock sound. I was thinking a DiMarzio D-Sonic in the Bridge and a PAF clone or EVO in the neck.

As for the kill-switch, it's best to have it on in the up and down but off in the middle, so that you don't turn your sound all off unintentionally.

I've got all kinds of wires running around my guitar so i do have to watch out for any touching >_>

And as for the soldering, use little spans of wire for the other connections, don't just run a bare wire though, unless you plan on taping over it with electrical tape.

Looks good. I like the one with the binding but it may be a bit harder for a first build. As for the inlays, don't bother with them unless you're going to get some really nice looking ones, otherwise just put in the little side inlays so you have some guide when you're playing it.

It should be safe. I've never heard anything about having to ground an aluminum guard, and as there isn't much electricity flowing through a guitar I wouldn't see the need to. The aluminum will shield your electronics nicely though

Hmm BKP's Black Dog might be what I'm looking for, how can I get them if I'm in the US though? Ah, nevermind, I couldn't afford them even if I could get them. I don't want another strat pickup, I'm getting a new pickguard with a slot for a hummer. The 59s are a bit bright for my tastes, and the twin blade doesn't come in a full bucker

I've got a strat-style configuration right now but I wanted to get a humbucker for the bridge. Any suggestions? I was looking at the SD Invaders, but was wondering if there were some other good brands out there. I want something with lots of output, overwounds would be nice. Brands with sound clips on their site like SD would be helpful.

Yeah, a line 6 spider 3 75 watt is what I've got. Great stuff on that amp, and it should be only $300 if you find a good store.

Will acrylic model paint work? Or perhaps polyurethane?
