  1. I have 2 favorite trems : A Kahler Pro 2315 (not in your choices) and an Ibanez ZR. However, an OFR, to me, is not as good as a liscenced Gotoh Floyd (and Gotoh builds the Ibanez Edge trems) so I'd go Edge. An Edge Lo-Pro is a bit old, but I like 'em a lot. The pro doesn't have the locking studs if I remember, but it is still a great trem. The original Edge too. But DON'T GO FOR THE EDGE PRO II or the EDGE III or whatever. They're not as good. And even less for the TRS and Lo-TRS.
  2. In fact a Kahler Pro is WAY better. A Hybrid is made from USA parts, and China ones, so it's a hybrid between the X-Trem (Lower line BC Riches trems) and the Pro. The hybrid is supposed to be good, having the Kahler ''feel''. If you like Kahlers more than Floyds and are on a budget, go for it. Pros aren't cheap. I'd say a hybrid is to a Pro as a Jackson Floyd is to a Ibanez ZR (which is the best Floyd Rose-type trem IMO) an OFR.
  3. I am sorry I won't go with this idea. Looks a bit "too much" to begin with. But hey SoundAt11, aren't you an eBay seller ?
  4. Well thanks for all the replies. I'm sorry, I was away from home so I couldn't reply. Thanks again. How do you think a white limba body and neck neck-thru would sound ? Rich like mahogany with more highs ? That's what I'm looking for.
  5. Thinking about it, I think it would be really tough and pricey to do because - A perfect piece of wood (no knots or anything) of this dimension is tough to find - It would cost too much However, I really like the idea. Anyone done it ? BTW Thanks for the reply.
  6. Is it possible to build a guitar from a big slab of wood (white korina, or mahogany for example) and then add the truss rod, the fingerboard and etc.? If it's not, why? And what are the biggest advantages of this design ?
