i got my wood locally and i have all the equipment as far as that goes. the only thing i dont exactly have that would be a big help is an engraver for my fretboard and my inlays
im looking for a place on the internet where i can get guitar parts for a cheap price. my budget is pretty low so im not going all out on it. somewhere i can get a bridge nut pickups and tuners cause thats all i think ill need and be able to afford for the present moment
i had heard that tremlos are hard to do but i wasnt sure. i wanted to do one but i guess getting the spring tension just right is starting to scare me a bit which was why i was asking
because i dont have the dimensions of the bridge what would i measure from? the whole bridge, the saddles or the outside of the string where they touch the saddle?
im guessing the last but i want to double check cause i dont wanna screw this up
what ive seen is you cut the end with the threads as you need it and then put new threads on. but ive seen truss rods for around $8 im not sure how well it works though
just looking for a standar v. i did check guitarbuild.com and found 1 standard v but i want to know the dimensions and it doesnt do a very good job of telling me what they are. as in i dont know how wide its going to be. i have a rough estimate but i want to know what its actually going to be
im looking for some cad files for my first guitar. i decided on a flying v thinking it would be the easiest to build. but of course i have no idea where to start off and cant find any cad files anywhere
