  1. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailp...ng_Tremolo.html Has anyone tried these? What do you think of them?
  2. The thing that is used for guiding the wood through the router (or planer, thicknesser), what is the material that touches the wood (the bottom of it)? White thing on this picture: http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll19/re...es/P4230144.jpg
  3. What is the main difference? I mean visually?
  4. Ok, thanks on quick answers, guys!
  5. Great! then! And cavity is same size as regular hum?
  6. And what is with cavities for hums then? Are they also wider or same size? And what is with neck pickup?
  7. So! On my future build, I am planning to use Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on bridge, and Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz on neck. While surfing, I found out that there are SH-4, and TB-4, same specification, but one is humbucker, the other trembucker. I've done some research, and found out that trembuckers are used on guitars with tremolo, floyd rose etc. It has something to do with string spacing, right! Now, questions! What is the difference between using a humbucker and trembucker, what is different in sound? I will use SH-2 on neck, and there isn't a trembucker like that pickup, there is only humbucker. What is with this problem? Strings are narrower as going from bridge to neck, so will it be a problem? Thanks a lot!
  8. That Binding cement (or something similar) from stewmac seems to be the best solution, but they don't ship it by air mail, so It is useless xD
  9. Because it is more likely to get an answer here in gear subforums.
  10. If anyone has a carved top Suhr standard, can you do me a favour? Can you measure what is the thickness on the edges of the guitar, on the top of the carve, and what is the size of binding? I would appreciate...thanks!
  11. Thans on gear advice, and I've already been on Suhr's forum, they won't talk
  12. No, he has drawn it smaller than it has to be, and now wants to scale it full size
  13. Now THAT is some scary ****... I see dimples too, a lots of, he doesn't care but who cares for them...carcinogenic is the word that is on my mind now...
  14. Does anyone have a Suhr standard guitar, carved top one? If so, can you please measure thickness on edges and on top of the carve? thanks!
  15. I told you, you have to know some dimension, and then scale it little by little until you get your desired size.
  16. Hey, thanks on advices! I've already masked everything very very good, so I am insured And just one more question, should I cover the frets too? It is not problem, and it may save me from some work later?
  17. I will use 2 component polyurethane, I went today to buy it, but they ran out of it, so I placed an order I don't have professional equipment, but I do have very decent spray gun, great compressor, good place to work and good mask, that should do the job
  18. If this was my guitar, i would left it like that, I like vintage stuff, but it's not, and I don't decide what to do, the customer is Btw, where do you see sanding scratches?
