Not really in the realm of building a new guitar, but any help would be appreciated! I am not sure of the best way, electrical signal speaking, to hookup all my effects. I have a Ross Compressor, a TS9 Tubescreamer reissue, Boss chorus pedal, Crybaby wah, and a digital tuner. And no real clue on the order to hook these up! Just looking for some expert help on finding the best loop to use for these. Thanks alot! Rones

Try something outside the box, like manlius guitar pickups. I ordered a set, and they are very nice. No muddyness and good price... Handwound and custom made to my specs!

I tried a set of Manlius Guitar Pickups via manliusguitar.com. custom, hand-scatterwound. Really clear muddless tone, I was very pleased with them and the price. I just got tired of the lack of uniqueness to Duncans, but again, those are just my ears. Rones

Okay, I have two humbuckers in, and I think the magnet on one is backwards. I know I could flip the magnet around to fix this, but since I already have them installed and do not feel like taking em out again, can I just swap the green ground wire for the black hot wire on one of the pickups? I think this will eleviate the problem by swithcing the wires and thus reversing the field, but am not entirely sure of this. Any thoughts or ideas? Rones

This one I haven't had before... Wired up a five way strat selector with two HB, both with 4 way wire to split the coils. Postions 1 is the Bridge, Position 2 is the bridge/neck, Postion 3 is the neck, 4 is the neck split, 5 is the birdge split. Problem is, everything is working except position 1! thought maybe it was soldered poorly, but it checks out with an ohm tester. switched around the bridge and neck to test again, once more, no sound in position 1! Ever come across this? I used the diagram from the project guitar wiring tutorials. Could it be a bad switch? Thanks Rones

Hi I am putting a couple of humbuckers into a strat pickguard I have that accepts them. I understand how to wire if they were with a 4 way conductor lead wire, but they have the vintage push back wire. How does this sound? I ran the lead wires, grounding the braid, to the first two positions of the selector switch. I beleive I will only get to use the first 3 postions. In essence just position 1 neck, 2 blend, 3 bridge. (When I turned it on, no sound, maybe a wire came undone or something. Not sure, it was too late to try to fix it!. I think it will work!) Does this sound alright? Or any better ideas. I can't find a diagram in the schematics section to aid me. Thanks for all the help Rones

Typical five way strat, i believe. Grounds from each pickup to the star ground. Trem claw to star ground. Tone pots to star ground. Hot pickups to each corresponding notch on switch. Ground wire and hot wire to jack. Cap on tones and grounded to tone pot. Treble bleed on volume pot, not grounded. That is about it, very confusing, never heard one get louder when touched! So i have been re -wiring this strat guitar, and have come across something I never have before (granted, not that much experience!). I am getting some serious noise, but only when something metal is touched. does not go away when the strings are touched. Completely opposite of what I normally hear?For instance, no knobs on yet, so touch the pot pole pieces, then buzz. Touch the bridge, buzz. Touch pickups, no buzz. Touch pickguard above controls, buzz. Have run ground from bridge to star, tone tone to star. output jack grounded to star I am using cloth wire, but have before without this. Only thing i can think of is either I have wire the jack wrong, or the pickups are bad. But when I play em, they play fine, just with alot of noise! Any leads out there? Thanks Rones

LoveKraft- I noticed that thesingle coil is actually a double stacked single coil, so in essence a humbucker, right? Should I attach the red/white wires to the black to increase output? Can't raise the pole pieces, unfortunately... Still very weak in the output area... Rones

LoveKraft- sorry about the delay in response... The middle single coil is the quiet pickup, and the pole pieces sit almost under the cover. Is it possible to raise the poles from the bottom of the pickup individually? The wiring schematic you set up for me worked awesome, it is really smooth. I really appreciate the help you've given me.
