  1. Maybe a long shot and you may have thought it already but is Newark college any where near you? I know they do classical guitar courses. Maybe some one there could do the job, if they haven't broke up for summer yet.
  2. +1 on gluing option 1. and what Mattia said.
  3. Thanks josh Sometimes what we mean to say and what we actually say come across differently, as when I posted it was late and I was about to go to bed, so I posted a short reply, otherwise I would have put "with all due respect" at the start, or something along those lines, so for that I'm sorry too. As for an intro I will maybe post something later.
  4. No worries Hector. Rich, sorry but I kind of feel like you are putting me on the spot by posting a welcome in off topic , as I cannot see any other posts where someone has introduced themselves, and at the moment I don't see why I should. Having said that, HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
  5. OK Let's get this straight. First of all I was offering advice to the person with the problem, obviously you Hector( and joshvegas) thought I was slating your opinion which was not my intention, however, my opening reply is a statement of fact, ( as taught by experts) which perhaps I should have qualified at the time. ( fryovanni went on to do so later, thanks btw) Secondly I suggested there maybe a problem with the neck angle, and I do believe I said maybe. So what may I ask gives you the right to tell me that I don't know what I am talking about, and that I give bad advice?
  6. Truss rod adjustment is not going to stop buzzing on any frets closer to the body, so, if your frets are all level, then your neck angle may be the problem
  7. Aah!! the old sledgehammer to crack a nut. Never mind, we learn far more from repairing our mistakes.
  8. Where is it? Upper or lower bout, top or bottom? If upper bout top you might just lose the repair under the neck joint, if lower bout top make a large end graft?
  9. Gently push them up from underneath with a small piece of wood, or plastic.
  10. I love your workshop, and your workmanship. Nice looking guitar.
  11. Like Southpa said, you do not want the enamel, as it seems anything containing a solvent wll dissolve it. Don't ask me how I know
