  4. Scott; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr._Hankey,_the_Christmas_Poo
  5. Johnny, yeah - the Les Paul Honey Burst is awesome - I like it pretty soft, not like some cherry burst standards. I was thinking something like this one: http://www.suhrguitars.com/images/colorChart2/large/Faded%20Teardrop%20Honey%20Burst.jpg
  6. Honeyburst? Or maybe some sort of stained orange?
  7. Oh my.. this is going to be unreal. Chrome hardware och pickupcovers?
  8. So, when are you going to build some guitars? .. or maybe some guitar stands?
  9. Dude, you have chocolate shavings in your trussrod slot.. mmmm.. choooclaateee...
  10. How bout' doing a reverse Iceman.. like the Fireman?
  11. Walnut is perfectly acceptable (maybe even a step up from Alder or Ash) tone wood. eh? What flavor of walnut? Black? I am fond of the expensive ones... Claro, Franquette, Bastogne, Peruvian. But Black or anything from the West coast of the US is fine. Watch out for the cut... a lot of plain walnut is riftsawn and it is tough to find nice quartersawn or flatsawn pieces. Awesome, I saw i nice looking walnut board the other day. I thought it was labled black walnut. The price was good, maybe I'll give it a shot. It'll give me something to play around with until the tops and fret boards show up for my other builds. Hmm, interesting. It's a quote inside a quote inside a quote inside a quote. Inception?

  13. Fix it! I would try getting the top off without damaging it, remove old glue and clean up surfaces and then re-glue. Covering up mistakes will make you better at covering up mistakes - re-doing will give a pain in the butt and more satisfaction in the end. As for how to get the top off I don't know - but I'm sure someone does know. What kind of glue did you use for the top?
  14. I prefer my grail holy. Preferably with a hint of Monty Python.
  15. Whatever you do, don't use that PRS-headstock like so many do on non-PRS-bodies.. About the body, I'm a little worried about the balance of this thing. I do like the look of it, but it seems to me that the lower waist should go forward (towards the neck) a little. To me It looks a little neck-heavy. Otherwise, I'm keen on watching this project!
  16. I'm finnish but I'm born and raised in sweden. Both of my parents are fins. For some strange reason I was under the impression xplo was finnish.. that's why.. and I have no clue to why I thought so.
  17. If you still need an outline or whatever, let me know - I'll help ya out, for free. PM me if ya want. If your native language is finnish you can use that. Or swedish. Or english.
  18. Is that a bit that you put in your hand router, i.e. with like an 8 mm shaft? I haven't seen one that tall - I have top bearing bit but it doesn't cut the whole body in one pass. Also, I don't have a router table although that would make things a lot easier. Cheers, Ola http://gitarrdelar.se/product_info.php?cPa...roducts_id=1934
  19. That top is so good lookin'.. It makes me wanna cut my foot off.
