  1. Ibanez use Basswood on most of the RG series, I'm not sure about the tonal differences to other woods, if there are any. I'm sure someone will have a site that tells the tonal differences of woods.
  2. Schaller Bridge/Tailpiece at Stewmac I was just wondering if anyone has used this beidge before, and if it needs a neck angle?
  3. I think that differnt types of wood would only affect the sustain, because pickups(on an electric guitar) are essentialy elctro-magnets which pick up the vibrating strings. Microhonic pickups however do pick up how the wood changes the sound. Unplugged, electric guitars will sound different even if they are the same wood, the same as an acoustic. Uhhh... please tell me if that makes sense BTW
  4. Lucky bastard j/k. Well im Going to see G3 at the royal albert hall in like june maybe i can get some autographs.
  5. umm, i though les pauls had tune-o-matics any way!? Yeah but most Les Pauls dont have Through necks and no neck angles. I read on Warmoth that you need a neck angle for Tune-O-Matics so thats why I'm asking here.
  6. Oh I understand know. So its not that hard? Thanks BTW
  7. Exellent as always. Was there a time when you didn't get pro results?
  8. Its a cool finish but looks extremely hard to do. I've got pics and im uploading 'em now. Silver Surfer(so cool) The Front (exellent finish)
  9. I don't understand what you mean, have you got a pic or diagram to explain.
  10. Is it possible to build a through Les Paul with no neck angle and a tune-o-matic, and is that reccomended if it's possible. If I cant have the tune-o-matic I'll probably have a floyd rose. I just wanna know my options with my choice of neck construction. Thanks,
  11. Pretty cool. But I have to ask one question, what is acetone and from what sort of shop could I get it from? BTW, I'm from the UK, does any one know if its called anything different here?
  12. Thanks everyone. I'm gonna get started as soon as I can find some cheap wood.
  13. And how much harder are neck-throughs compared to bolt-ons?
