  1. Beautiful Guitar man wow nice job I'm a sucker for V's and Natural woods and skulls so this is right up my ally. Its got a classic look to it but its also very metal looking Good work man
  2. Yes it's a single Volume and single Tone and I have mini toggle switches for switching pup on and off.
  3. I have two hum bucker's in my guitar, Is there anyway to wire it so my bridge pup goes out bypassing tone pot and having tone pot only control neck pup? only using one Vol pot one tone pot? Thanks
  4. Sorry for the lack of liego Its an older washburn body can't find the correct neck for it thansk for all the help Tried Ebay? yup everyday found a LTD neck that would sweet on it

  6. ok I plugged into tuner tuned right on then pressed 12th fret hit string every string is one higher E is F A is B.....shouldn't they be the same?
  7. Ok all relaxed now from nut to 12th fret 12 and 5/8 from nut to bridge saddle where the sting ends rest on tremolo its 24 3/4. i'm getting no string hum strings clear frets fine It my not be a full octave high but its noticeable difference. when you play along with someone else the same thing up around the 12th and above its higher. fine from fret 1 to you get around the 12th fret then it starts going higher. thanks again guys.
  8. Yeah I put the Kahler bridge useing the same stud hole as the F/R was mounted, but wouldn't 24 fret neck be a bit longer then 22? thus making distance from bridge to fret longer?
  9. when you measure from bridge to 12th fret is it the point where the string makes contact to the bridge?
  10. yeah I was at my guitar lesson yesterday we got our guitars in tune and when we both played in the area of the 12th fret I was about an octave higher but the guitars were in tune with one other. I had the repair guy take a quick look at it, he made a couple measurements and asked if I had put the guitar together myself. He said the body was made for a 24 fret neck and I had a 22 on it. he said it was off by about 5/8in. and I'd be better off buying a new Guitar (he owns the Music store) but I would like to fix this one I put alot of good parts on it. Thanks for your help guys your the best
  11. Hi I a newbie I put together a guitar with parts I had and parts I bought. well being I don't know anything bout building a guitar it turns out I have a 22 fret neck on a body that was made for 24 fret neck. i'm about an octave high @ 12th fret. how do I measure shouldn't it be from nut to 12th fret the same distance as bridge to 12th fret? or could I get any 24 fret neck and make it work? also I changed tremolos on the guitar from Floyd to Kahler it fit in the same stud holes thanks for you help.
  12. Oh sorry I read one of the post wrong duh I feel dumb sorry
  13. Basic rough drawing of wiring would this work?
  14. Anyone know where you can find concentric-ganged pots? I'm also looking for a way to use an Active in bridge and passive in neck. I use a Artec Active EXP for my tone control if I had a dual pot it would act as a select switch between to two just not allowing you to use both PU at once correct? I rarely use my neck pickup only for some acoustic stuff but I mostly play Metal so the whole thing for me is I want the active Zakk Wylde tone from my neck but I have a 27ohm Motherbucker I would be putting in neck position and just dont see the need to spend the money for an active for the neck PU. so is this possible and any help where I can get a dual 25k/100k pot? Thanks
  15. Mighty Mite Mother bucker VS Dragonfire Active emg clone pickups which ones better for a good metal tone like zakk or dime... I have a neck motherbucker now and like it but thinking about getting a set of dragonfire actives anyone used them or both are they worth the bother? Thanks
  16. I shimmed the neck up and it worked great thanks guys for all your help fixed problem and didn't hafta hack up Guitar.
  17. looks like I want to drop the strings @ 12th fret bout 1/8 in it's a older Washburn I've had for a long time used love to play it. I decided to rebuild it it had a kahler spider on it I really liked that trem so I rebuilt it just like new. The old body on the guitar was cracked and in bad shape so I replaced it used the same neck since it's still in great shape and always felt good in my hands. but neck sits higher in new body then it did old one the old body had much deeper pocket and trem stud self then new one. thats bout all info I can think of again thanks for the help.
  18. It's a Washburn Guitar older one I just rebuilt it. I put a Kahler tremolo on it (Like Kahlers over FR Copies) The inserts are all the way flush with the self the studs are all the way down. yes its a Bolt on neck but wouldn't adding shims make my problem worse? anyway I checked the neck and it's razor strait . The shelf that the inserts are in is very shallow maybe 3/16 deep. Thanks for your help guys. ON
  19. Hi I need to get my string action down I put a different Bridge on but now the actions to high looks like I need to remove some wood from The shelf which the trem anchors are inserted into. It's a Alder body I need to remove Probably 1/8 in what would be the best way to do this? by Chisel or get a router? Thanks
  20. yeah the neck is to wide for the pocket on the body i'm not that knowledged in building guitars and don't want to mess it up, so just wondering if this is something I should try myself. thanks
  21. Hi I have a old Kahler spyder and I need new fulcrum studs Kahlers are $30 for a set FR are $16 anyone know if Floyd Rose studs will work on a kahler? they look a little different but not much. just wondering if anyone tried this so I can be cheap. Hey $15 thanks for your help love this forum.
