  1. Awesome I cant wait to get started! I'll be posting some WIP shots and such. I'm thinking of going to a pawn shop next week to pick up a cheap guitar to get started on (i dont want to ruin my current one ha ha).
  2. Thanks a lot for your help How long should I wait till I can start playin it and bangin it around again lol. I've heard things like "such and such takes 6 months to cure, such and such takes years, but with nitro ive heard (From a girl at work) that you can wait like 6 weeks?
  3. Hello again everyone, I've been reading through the posts and its telling me "no to krylon". But my problem is this. I need a cheap effective way to paint my guitar (from wood grain to color to clear coat), but I have no equipment. (no compressor, no guns, no nothing) and i really don't have the money to go out and buy all these things. It will be my first time doing all this refinishing/painting, and I really need some guidance, on some easy to use, cheap paint, primer, clearcoat.
  4. ok but the thing is, Im stripping this guitar down to grain, primering, painting (hopefully with this krylon orange spray). and then Clearcoating. Would it be okay to just go ahead and use the spray? Could i use any old acrylic spray?
  5. Hi everybody, my first time posting here and it is also my first time painting a guitar myself. I hear the words "get Krylon" a lot. And i was wondering, what kind of krylon paint? Are the short cuts Aerosol good enough to use on a guitar? Can you clear coat over them? I was wondering because they have some wicked colours. Here is a link if you dont know what im talking about: http://www.krylon.com/main/product_templat...product_details Thanking you in advance, acanadian p.s I would like to paint my pickguard too. Is that possible?
