    thanks killemall I checked up on that, it doesn't match Gunslinger. Gunslinger has one angled humbucker in the bridge position.

    I just bought a Plat. series B.C. Rich guitar and I am going to restore It. Does anyone know what model this might be? The body is strat style. It is routed for 2 singles and 1 humbucker and a dual post tremolo. it has 2 pots 1 mini switch and a 5 position selection switch. The finish is black with yellow crackle.     What about deltacad? I like it but is it good enough for fret distance work? Untill I can get a fret ruler or a ruler with the proper measurements on it.

    Yeah i have much interest in building acoustics, but I would like to see what's involved in building a string bass. I would like to try building a coffin shaped upright like the guy from Nekro mantix.

    Not at all dude they are for newbies for shure. I am a newbie I never built a guitar yet but very soon.

    I like make your own electric guitar and bass by Dennis Warring and David Raymond and make your own electric guitar by Melvyn Hiscock. As for the others I haven't read them so I can't comment.

    I just bought some gear, digital caliper and a little machinest rule with 32nd and 64th markings and decimals equivalents on the back. First fret according to one of the guitar building books I got is 1.389 (24 3/4) scale. The closest measurement on the rule is 1.390 is that good enough? Or should I use the caliper to get it right on?

    Ok I am getting some of those incra tools. Now how do you measure something like 1.231 (just an example)? Do you use the 1/32nd, 1/64th or 1/100th of the Pro T-Rule? I really don't know how to use these precision rulers.

    What about fret scale rulers? Are they better for fret distances than incra?

    Oh man I don't have that kind of money. I bought a cheap software program off ebay that is supposed to do cad. I just want it for guitar design not space shuttle design so hopefully it will do.     There was a site link on here that had full body decals like zakk Wylde's bulls eye. Does anyone remember it? I lost all my cool links when my computer broke.

    off of which brand guitar? The pick ups and the bridge are off an El Degas Strat style. Still a good buy I would of posted the pics but I didn't know the size of them. I have to email them.
