  1. I've just been exploring the www.guitarpartsusa.com website. They seem to have quite an affordable range of budget quality replacement guitar parts. Have any of you dealt with them before? How are accurate are the Fender pickguards? How does their shipping costs compare to other guitar part providers? Have any of you Australians bought stuff from them. how long did it take etc?
  2. I need to get my hands on a %100 accurate Mustang routing template. Made of Masonite, or whatever. Does Anyone make these, or know where I can get one?
  3. The knot isn't a knot-hole. the grain of the wood just gets complicated. The backbow only really starts at the 12th fret. i think i'll try steaming it and clamping it first. I got this neck from the tip, so whatever I do to it is no loss.
  4. I have a cheapish fender copy neck, with redeamable features. There is a knot in the maple neck just near the heal, it has caused the whole neck to warp back (not forward, like normal). It only has a basic one way action trussrod, so it doesn't adjust in the other direction. Should I remove the fretboard carefully and insert supporting beams?
  5. At first I thought it was a solid inlay logo. But it turns out while i was scraping(after I applied paintstripper)it was just vinyl or plastic glued on to the surface, so it wasn't even cut into the head. I was very annoyed because I halved the price of the guitar within seconds! Does anyone know where i can get an exact replacement as apposed to a waterslide decal?
  6. Thanks for the advice people. I was gunna go ahead with staining the headstock black. But the damn paintstripper i used to remove the horrible shellac melted the ibanez logo. Now i need to get my hands on an old 70s Ibanez decal. Can anyone help?
  7. I need a Vintage Ibanez headstock logo. Does anyone know where i can get a reproduction? I looked on Ebay and only found the modern design. please email me: patrickcross@hotmail.com
  8. I'm currently restoring an old Ibanez les paul neck. A previous owner has sanded the original black finish off the neck and hand painted shellac on it. It looks terrible. The Ibanez logo is intact because it is a pearl inlay. I want to spray paint the whole neck black and have the logo showing. My only current option is to hand paint very carefully around the logo with a tiny brush. Is there any other professional options?
