  1. Its been a long time but... The final stage - completion. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/bad...CF0084Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/bad...CF0086Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/bad...CF0087Small.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v282/bad...CF0085Small.jpg p.s. excuse my french but the hot noiseless sound feckin awsome.
  2. lol its the one thing we all think but never admit. Yes it was a compliment and yes she was hot
  3. for some reason that guitar reminds me of jessica rabbit
  4. if you're gonna get a new neck, new pickups, new bridge and rout out extra space, you'd be better off just buying or making a 7 string after all the hassle you'd have.
  5. I have a complete fernandes sustainer kit for sale £190 or very nearest offer. Its brand new, never removed from its box. I bought it intending to put it in an old guitar but decided against it (as putting it in would mean drilling though steve vais signature on the guitar) and i can't afford another guitar to install it in just yet. Anyone interested. I'm based in nottingham.
  6. the markers were just a standard silver pen, and the black was a permanent marker. The clear coat is just car spray lacquer. I tested it on a piece of wood to make sure the pens didn';t react with the lacquer. But its turning out pretty good
  7. I went to G3 nottingham, and got to meet satriani. Unfortunately vai & Co weren't there, but dave wiener was extremely cool, and took it up to get it signed. On a side note, satch's pick hit my dad on the head. Anyway, i took a guitar body to get signed, and so this is the process of re-finihsing the guitar, and making a kick ass G3 guitar. The day after the G3 concert. 1st coat of lacquer Thsi is the original neck, which has a huge crack in it, as a certain someone tried to throw a guitar round their head vai style. Tis neck will be repaired, and the headstock sanded down and refinished with a groovy logo on it. (Not yet decided.) Bought some gold hardware all lovely and gold, and with a pearl scratchplate it'll look great. about 5 coats of lacquer on this one. Still has the speckly look, but the layers are building up nicely. I'll post more updates as and when they happen.
  8. i just tested a very small section on a part of the guitar that would be covered by the scratchplate. It bled a tiny bit, but you had to go very very close and have good eyesight to see it. The pen is a big chunky black pen, and is waterproof.
  9. On monday i'll be going to meet all the G3 guys. (i won aftershow tickets !!!! ) So i have a guitarbody stripped down to the wood and sanded smooth with about 400 grit paper. I'm gonna get the G3 people to sign it with a permanent marker. 1. Will the marker react to whatever finish i use? 2. What finishes could i do so that i can still see the signatures?
  10. the black bits behind the floyd, give it a hint of steinberger feel.
  11. very nice, i love the look of bound teles. Very interesting pickguard shape.
  12. well it was a dsl and 100W but it got sold today. So now i have my carvin legacy on its way
  13. where abouts are you? Also what model are the ibanez pickups? I've always thought ibanez make some great pickups. Quite underrated as far as pups go .
  14. non negotiable on price i'm afraid (well maybe) i'm in the UK, in the midlands. E-mail me if you'd like a piece of the marshall pie.
