  1. OK. Problem solved. Thanks Alex! Helge, check your e-mail; I made you a more than fair offer. Ronny
  2. Helge, First of all, I have replied to all of your e-mails. I have had many Templates sold with no problems. These templates are very consistent and are great tools. However, you must still check and re-check when routing, cutting, etc. This seems to be a mistake on your end and I have already compensated with you with a new set of templates and shipping to Europe. Thanks, Ronny
  3. Hello Everyone, I am working on making some routing templates for the rear cavity of the variax system. It would be a stand alone template that can be routed on your guitar of choice. My question is: Does anyone have the covers that I could borrow/trade in exchange for a free set of templates? Let me know! Thanks,
  4. .......and the ones I've purchased have been nearly unusable. His plexiglass P-Bass and J-bass templates aren't even close to actual dimensions....I don't know how good his plywood templates are. There is a fellow on ebay.....member name is ronkirn.....has some seemingly accurate Tele templates, but he is not offering any at this time. Here are a couple pics of a Tele that I made from a set of ronkirn's templates. http://www.fenderforum.com/userphotos/index.html?recid=2973 http://www.fenderforum.com/userphotos/index.html?recid=2958 Those plexi templates were some of the first ones I offered. Since then, I have continued to improve the quality of my templates and are much better!
  5. You can find router bits up to 2.5" long at http://www.routerbits.com I started by routing the perimeter of the template in 1/4" increments until the bearing, or straight, non-cutting part of the bit, is flush with the template. You will probably have to cut in shorter increments if you are using very hard wood. You must do this clamped onto a similar piece of wood that you are routing on until you get to the bottom. You can see how mine came out at http://www.guitarbuildingtemplates.com/buildingtips.htm
  6. I can do custom templates for a nominal fee. contact me and let me know what you have in mind. Thanks!
  7. Hi, I'm the ebay guy. I am fortunate to have some drawings from Alex VDL which are very accurate if you are building exact replica of a particular model. Some of the other drawings are made for building a guitar from scratch and may or may not be compatible with other models. I had issues with rough edges with my new laser cutter due to file compatibility. That is fixed now and I assure you that the templates are as smooth as a baby's butt! Happy Guitar Building!
