  1. I bought it off ebay about 2-2.5 years ago. If it sells for $700, I lose money. If it sells for $1100, I make just a little bit. The guy I bought it from said he won it. I e-mailed Gibson before I bought it to see what kind of info they had on it, and they told me that the SN matched up with a promotional item. My wife and I collect stuff from Hard Rock Cafe', so we thought this would be cool by all the shot glasses and stuff. We've been to over 30 different Hard Rock Cafe's. I have two other guitars that were limited edition hard rock cafe guitars, one acoustic, and one electric, but they are epiphone's. Need anymore info let me know. I think I have a copy of the e-mail from Gibson printed out somewhere. In addition, I think I have the info from the guy I bought it from. Only thing is, I've move since I bought it, and would need to look for it. Take ER EZ!
  2. Well, the time has come. The new baby has brought the need for cash so one of the guitars has to go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3749930342 Thanks for looking!
  3. That is really cool. It really looks wet. You have to spill the beans and tell us how. PLEASE?
  4. I got some feedback that the photos were too large, and took too long to load. Therefore, I made them smaller and more internet friendly. Sorry about that!
  5. Wow, 1st build, look great!! I like the wood grain.
  6. Thanks guys!! It was a lot of work, but it was fun to learn. I really like how it turned out too. skibum5545, I got about 40 hours in just cutting the pearl and ablone. Then about 40 hours in cutting the wood and setting it into the wood. Then I had to mask it and paint it. Probably about 160 hours total. If I could charge like $2000 dollars for something like this, it would only be like $12.50 per hour. Not such a good return. Although I think the next one would go a bit quicker since this was my 1st, and there was the learning curve.
  7. I finally got to take some decent pictures of my inlay job. They are on my web site listed as: Guitar Final 1 through Guitar Final 15 http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...arProject.shtml I really like how it turned out. I have desided to keep it and give it to my son one day! Again, thanks to everyone for their help!! I will also put the links here: http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_1.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_2.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_3.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_4.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_5.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_6.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_7.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_8.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...tar_final_9.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_10.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_11.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_12.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_13.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_14.jpg http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...ar_final_15.jpg

  9. Thanks, you can do it, just take your time. I am working on a tutorial, but I'm not sure when it will be done. I'm doing it in between Playing and waiting for my wife to go into labor. Here are some more picture of the progress. http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c3/im181owne...arProject.shtml
  10. I used a dremel. You can get some real small bits.
