  1. Hi Simo, I´m gonna give yoy the "KING OF ALL ADVICES" ..if you can, use a seven strings Neck...the 6 strings necks are too narrow to play properly classical pieces..even for a person like me, with small hands.. i´m in Venezuela, and here es very dificult to get anything..and last year we could not even use credit card outside the country..this year that changed..so now at least i can look for things in ebay and other places.. So, i was very lucky to get that Belcat piezo sistem.. BTW, you top look awesome...when i did mine projet i inteded to leave natural wood ..but when i sanded all the paint i discover 5 pieces of wood and one was very greenish..so i diciced to steam in a dark color and leave it that way. good luck, and i´ll be watching your progress cheers
  2. Hi.. I´m glad that you got inspired by my experimental model.. if there any partiuclar advice that you need.?. let me know.. cheers.
  3. Thank you very much.. this information will help me a lot .. but if it not too much..Can you check the thickness on the 1st Fret and 12th Fret any information on the radius? You are so kind.. cheers
  4. Thanks PerryL... The wizard neck mesures are: Scale: 25,5 " Thickness: 1 st fret -- 17 mm 12 th fret --19 mm Width : nut 43 mm 22 fret (heel) 56 mm Radius: 430 mm Can you check the Thickness and the Radius of the Jackson neck..? Cheers
  5. Hi PerryL.. i want to order that neck too, but i have a few questions: Do you think that that neck can replace a brocken Neck of a RG550 original joint? What are the mesures of that neck?..compares to a Wizard neck.. the wizard have 17 thick in the 1rt fret..and 19 in the 12 th fret.. Are the frets Jumbo? i´ll be really happy if you can answer all those questions.. cheers
  6. Hi...and the radius is 430 mm..= 17 in.. not 16.. cheers..
  7. Hi, it looks nice...but it´s gonna look much better with the right pk covers, and knobs.. good work, Cheers
  8. yeah..Sounds good ... but I think that the only thing that sounds like a Jem is the Swirl.. It will be a RG body and it will have a Monkey Grip?...i guess the lion Claw is out of the picture...due to the Tom Bridge.. am i right? cheers
  9. Ho...i´m with CRAFTY in this ...put black pick ups and Black Knobs and i pretty sure it will look great!!.. use photoshop..and post a picture.. you can let people choose... ..if you want, of course.. i´m not a fan of Eddie´s guitar, neither strats.. but yours looks good..i always like Black & yellow Combinations.. cheers..
  10. Hi, You can only use Covers for Single coil pups...for humbucker you have to buy them already colored (dimarzio special order, for example) or buy at www.UniversalJem the bobbin toppers..or (paint them by yourself with patient..) the bobbin topper actually look good.. i bought one from Brian (universaljems) for a Jem project i´m working on.. but th yellow don´t mach too well so i use a Blue bobbin topper and painte the other coil in yellow.. cheers
  11. Wow!!!..that´s just BEAUTIFUL keep the good work... Cheers
  12. Thanks for the responds... i can´t believe that nobody knows about this.. Jester is Right..i don´t mean White V1 in the top of the pup.. The pup is, acording to the Seller, from a PGM301 ..and in the Ibanez webpage that model comes with Paf pro pickups.. The pup is exactly like a paf pro (i have another)..and it says Dimarzio stamped in the top (aparently, only OEM Dimarzio have these stamps) ..but is not like the Dimarzio stamps in the Evolutions of the Jems..this logo is bigger (and looks better than the evolutions logo)..underneath it says ..if i remember right,i don´t have the pup in my hand right now: F Dimarzio Made in USA V1 which it looks all normal..but in the other dimarzios i have, in the place of the V1, it supposed to be DP151 (for a paf pro in this case). I know the case in which a "H8" is the OEM paf pro for some fender models.. maybe i should right to Dimarzio..but i was hoping that someone here know about this and everybody else would learn this too. cheers
  13. Hi, thanks..it seems very nice..but for some reason a can´t Zoom it.. The glue i´m thinking to use Dries clear or transparent...but first i´m gonna do a test in a small acrilic piece.. But you idea seems very nice..maybe i should try that too, thanks ... can you sent me the full picture, please .. do you a have any picture of the process: the glueing of the fabric to the pickguard..please show us cheers
  14. Pictures pleeeeeeeeeeeease!! I´m working in something similar too... A JEM-mination of a RG550... and the pickguard is the problem here.. i thought about to make a Clear Pickguard (acrilic)and put the fabric in the underneath.. cheers
  15. Hi Everyone, I just recieved the pickup that i bought from a guy in the JemSite forum..he said it was a Dimarzio Paf pro from his PGM ibanez guitar.. The pup looks like a Paf pro, but instead of "Dp151" stamp in the botton it has a "V1"..is this the same paf pro? cheers
  16. Hey, maiden??? Why fry the guy like you did. He is just airing his opinion. He tried both guitars and likes the EPI better. The way he words it, it sounds like a very reasonable choice. I agree..i think he explained his point of view very well,...and I actually don´t like Les Pauls... that´s just my opinion.. but Maiden was rude. Cheers
  17. Hi Eddiewarlock, where are you in Venezuela? and welcome!..i will like too see that warlock.. cheers
  18. hi, looks very nice!..but ..besides the fact that it don´t have a switch.. i wonder, in the first picture you can see clearly BLUE, but in the second one is GREEN..which is really the color of all BSB i had seen until now and my Very own 7V BSB. So, which color is it? cheers
  19. hi, how many exactly is "few bucks"?.. cheers
  20. Hi all.. after refinished my Yamaha i´m going for a more demanding job.. a "JEM-MINATION" of a RG550.. anybody have a "blue print".. (i don´t think this is the right name , but i guess every body will undestand)..of the VINE INLAY ?.. i´ve remembered seen it long time ago, in somewhere.. it was just a black & white graphic.. i mean ..i´m looking for a detailed graphic of the inlay..if is posible, fret by fret.. i had seen a lot of pictures of Jem and some have good detail of the fretboard, but i would like to get a better one.. i have never seen a vine inlay in person, and unfortunally my BSB don´t have one hope that any one undestand what i need.. cheers
  21. Hi, well if you do it right from the begining you should not expend more than $30 here.. but since i screwed it a few times i expended about $70.. i suposse you are talking about the finish alone...if you add the pups and the OFR..i will cost you a lot more.. thanks for your coment.. cheers
  22. thank you all you people..i´m very happy that everybody like it.. well, about the fast neck..well i would said that the "Fast" is in the hands the yamaha neck of this guitar is pretty good just a little thicker than a Wizard, i would said is like a Jem..but not the shape of the jem.. It feel like any other neck with laquer on it..i really prefer the natural neck of my BSB, is the best feel i ever have..i´m gonna do the same to my Jemminaze RG550.. It suppose to be Fabric in the back too, but... again... i messed it..so i took off the fabrick an finished in plain Black.. the yellow/black pup was meant for the original project..but after that, i look for a fabric in which i could use them too and i think they look pretty cool Brian, really big thanks to you for the amazin totorial Bigtommyb, i agree, now i like this more than the first one.. cheers
  23. Hi Everyone.. i started this project 6 month ago.. you can see it here.. http://projectguitar.ibforums.com/index.ph...&hl=yamaha&st=0 but after runnign in some troubles with poly clear..i decided to star over again..for the third time So i pick another fabric.. and this is the result.. the clear coat was done with a laquer... the pup´s are A Paevy Vanderberg in the bridge and a Paf in the neck. The black back of the neck is original for this RGX110.. i´m very happy with the result.. So,... what do you people think?
