  1. I bought one of his necks as well. Again the fret board had a few nicks and dents and the brass side markers were not all aligned well. I also did not like the ebony nut he installed. It was sloppily glued in and did not fit the slot all that great. It looks nice and feels ok but I have yet to put it on a guitar. HE does offer money back if you are not happy with it though so for the modest cost it is not a bad deal. Gip
  2. A friend of mine who installs heating duct work showed me a neat trick once. They often have to drill through floor joists for fitting purposes. He used a section of coat hanger. Just cut it to length with a pair of diagonal cutters and chuck it up in the drill. It went through the floor joist quite easily. Now the wood in your guitar is most likely harder than a floor joists, but you can always test it out first. Gipper
