    Thanks guys. I decided to sand down to wood and so far, so good. Except i dont know what type of wood it is. Ill post a pic soonish, but i can tell you it has black grain (is that the word i want) running through it.

    Ive just started to sand back a strat copy (made by Legend) for repainting. I sanded through the paint and to my supprise, the body is covered in resin (or some other hard material) of some kind... Im just wondering is this normal? and can i just repaint over it? Cheers, Chris.
