  1. Thanks. So I guess I'll have to cut som 12" to 14" radius 'humps' to run my router on. Or is there an easier way?
  2. Does anyone know if a single-action truss rod requires the truss rod channel to be routed concave? Will it work if it is placed in a straight channel? If the channel is concave, how concave must it be?
  3. Very simple. And no, a key change does not have to follow athe circle of fifths... Decide what key you would like to transition to, then find a chord that is relative to both and use it as a pivot point. If there aren't many options, you can sharpen or flatten 3rds or suspend 3rds all together in such chords to make it work. Remember to play these alterations if there is any melody/harmony over top.
  4. That would be nice! Try looking for it under ES 1275, which is the guitars actual name.
  5. Hi guys. Nice to be here, this is my first post. I want to build a replica of a 1966 Esquire neck as a replacement. Does anyone know how the trussrod was anchored near the headstock on 60's Fenders with rosewood boards? Is it a square slug that the rod is threaded into? Also, does anyone know how Fender applied the 'veneer' fingerboard? I guess if I radius the neck to 7.25" before putting on the fingerboard, then bend the fingerboard onto it and glue it down this would do the trick, but is the thin rosewood flexible enough to do this?
