  1. ppg they have big range of metallic and pearl colors. Or you can go to any of your local store and chose any nitro color you like. Be sure not to mix nitro with any other kind 'cos youll end up with paint rising. Try to use searsh box, i am sure youll end up with planty of answers regarding this, cos we disscused it few times ower the years. LGM(member) has a great tutorial on finishing so you might look it up.
  2. it is olympic white, but you could consider ivory white. It is yellowish so you might like it more if you are aiming for a slight aged look.
  3. I'm 29 and all thouse years on the road are starting to remind me what mistakes have i done
  4. hi, Please try something like this first: There are few ways to strip your guitar and im sure youll find one that you are comfortable with. Try to look up for LGM threads. Regards Srry i just saw you joined today, so Welcome to the board!
  5. If rhoads got it right, and that is what i understand also, we dont do fake branding. Well moast of us dont anyways. And it takes like 5 mins to vectorize guitar manufacturer logo in corel or you just go to http://www.brandsoftheworld.com and download them from there.
  6. +1 to Drak. I use all nitro finishing thingies. nitro paint, nitro gloss nitro anything. When you paint a car, after aplying clear coat, paint gets "baked". Basicly they heat the painting booth to certan temperature and "bake" paint. I do that on my guitars, but that is just thing to make it dry faster.
  7. http://www.landingbass.com/monster%20bass.html Is that it? well...... chears
  8. I'm ready....lol I just got my ebony blank and maple so now im waiting for pistol to go BANG. Im gonna try to make my first full neck build in this build-off and cant wait to start.
  9. a). I am in! . THIS ONE WON'T DO, SORRY!!!! Ok then V Les paul Explorer c). Being from Croatia maybe something from stewmac as well d). any mod will do!
  10. AWESOME!!! If you dont know what to do with it, i can pm you my home address hint, hint
  11. ok, I figure, if the deadline is 6 months im in! Hell, i think i can do it in 6 months even if i dont have my shop running as it usually is. Ok, count me in. My last guitar is done, played on, and now im allready starting to plan(well, planed out, ploted, ordered wood kinna planning) on next build. This is a sugestions 1 start build off with start of new year so 1.1.07 2 make some kind of PG build off headstock logo 3 make it annual thing 4 put progress threads or sign ups in advanced chat section 5 not make it "who sucks, who rocks" competition and keep it friendly with absolutly no wotes on who's best at building. If we make competition out of it, then thats just another GOTM thing, and we allready have that. maybe we could even trade that guitars with each other or give it to some gifted kid in local aria or something. Anyways im in, but only if it is friendly buikd off 'cos i dont wanna see ppšl argue about what guitar is better. Everyone that has ever built something thinks of his work highly, learn on it, make it better next time and then makes it even better next time. I respect every single one of you and your work even the kid that try's to refinish his guitar and scr**s it all up, but he tried.
  12. Ok, As is said im not in regarding actual build but i can offer myself for making 1:1 scaled ready to plot blueprints. You guys should decide what the specs should be and i can do scales based on it. That is if any is required. It would be best if it would be decided in a poll what guitar shapes are considered to be "ok" and then the one with moast vodes (or 2 or 3) enter the build off. It has been mentioned that it would be cool to make some sort of auction for the instruments that are built in the build off, but maybe we should considder donating that instruments to some kids that really cant buy them or some music school or similar. It would give good name to PG website, and i can tell you that i would never build guitar if there wasn't PG. (then again maybe Brian doesnt want that)
  13. I cant get to the build-off 'cos i have some probs with my workshop so....... I like the idea. My sugestions 10 days to build guitar 10 days to paint it 10 days to fine tune it and all finishing touches. 24 hours to post finished guitar with specs and pix It would be good to talk to Brian or some other moderator to open new topic "BUILD_OFF" or something so any of you guys in it can post pics of your progress. It would be good to set some standards for building. To be honest it would be more of how it looks rather than what is the guitar playability etc, so it wouldnt hurt to have sound clips. I'll think of some more lol
  14. I use plain old corel draw softie for scaling vectors, and i mock it up with corel, photoshop or fireworks plus few websites for resource. It is not 3d mockup, but i really dont need it in 3d.
  15. Here is one that is even better if you ask me http://www.jcfonline.com/resources/csgen/JCFCustomShop.htm
  16. Well, goat once again you misstaken me for Lucky! purplegreendave welcome to the PG! I wish you good luck and listen to the ppl here 'cos they know their THING. Dont forget to check out main website, 'cos youll find loads of answers there. And remember: Building guitars is addiction!

  18. Nice work, allthou im not fan of the shape. I like the color of pauduk.
  19. Yes, but you SAVE $1,579.01 (19%) When You Buy Today! lol. I think in this case the moast exencive thing on that guitar is ESP logo or maybe it has some diamonds hidden somevhere
